Numero Uno

My observations in no particular order; 1. There are pigeons everywhere 2. There are dogs everywhere 3. Sometimes the dogs even take seats on the vaporetto 4. You can eat very well quite cheaply 5. If the restaurant has a menu in 6 languages and comes with pictures, don't eat there 6. Eat the cornetti! 7. If one more person tries to foist a 'selfie stick' on me I'll scream 8. You can take pictures of everything just don't use flash 9. There really are ALOT of pigeons 10. And ALOT of dogs! Dogs barking at each other and 'scrapping' is considered highly amusing by locals 11. ....so maybe I'm not that local yet.... 12. Italian TV is really bad....most of the news coverage is about the Pope or the mafia, or Italy's got talent NOT 13. There is a very good reason why the locals shut down around 2pm,its called sleeping after lunch. 14. Take a nap at 2pm, it helps make room for dinner 15. Eat the gelato! 16. Did I mention the pigeons? 17. There are two means of getting around Venice on land; right foot - left foot 18. Venice is beautiful
